$AVM Default Sandbox keeps expanding support 👀
More languages, more package managers, more pre-installed tools.
This makes building + executing agent code across stacks far easier.
> What’s supported now:
• Python 3.11 (numpy/pandas/sklearn/matplotlib/requests/BS4 etc.)
• Node.js + Bun + TypeScript global
• Go 1.22.x
• npm, pnpm, pip
• ffmpeg, git, curl/wget, unzip, build-essential
• Ubuntu 22.04 (both ARM + AMD64)
> Why this matters:
• agents don’t only write code in one language
• cross-language workflows don’t need new environments
• less debugging dependency issues
• faster iteration cycles
• safer execution surface for untrusted AI generated code
> Impact:
• standard runtime for multiple agent types
• baseline foundation that scales with expanding toolkit support
• devs can compose modules across languages without environment switching
As @avm_codes keeps pushing more supported runtimes + tooling, this default sandbox becomes the shared layer where agent builders reduce overhead and focus on logic, not setup.
