i don't think this is likely, but
i have this intrusive thought every now and then:
at some point btc vol compresses to the point that speculators move on,
then traders move on,
then it underperforms equities for an entire "cycle"
and the world collectively is like "well.. failed experiment" re: currency debasement, and just sticks to stocks/gold,
and some group of bozos gets caught holding the bag on btc as it trends toward zero
imagine long-term "stack sats" people that never sold a penny and denominated their net worths in btc for a decade+ end up being the japanese soldier; the only distinction between them and a HEDERA HASHGRAPH zealot was one degree of difference and longer timeframe
