ZEC is printing market cap ATHs weekly if not daily. CT is obsessed with privacy, completely pivoting the sentiment as of 2 years ago. What has changed? How did they achieve that? Below is my reasoning 👇
In 2017, everyone was obsessed with whitepapers, but since then the world has accelerated a lot. Now the attention span of a person is no longer than a tweet. That’s why only short pitches stick.
“Encrypted bitcoin” is the shortest pitch that I know. And this is the first factor that influenced ZEC’s price appreciation.
Tech stack is #2, but not in the form that you might think. It’s not the adoption – who was using ZEC before this surge? It was definitely a pretty niche thing.
But one thing that everyone agrees is that ‘trusted smart people say it’s legit’. And it’s definitely legit. It really delivers on the ‘encrypted’ promise.
Another thing that adds up here is its years in production without disturbances. But please don’t mix tech legitimacy with everyone understanding the tech. It’s below 1% of investors who 1) have time to go deep and 2) understand it. It’s more tech marketing.
People cannot believe what they cannot see. So here comes @zashi_app – a way to try ZEC. It’s polished. It’s clean. It emphasizes the encryption pitch with some features. And it allows you to onboard right away directly in the app (this is a shameless plug of NEAR Intents).
This simple user interface is #3. And this is exactly what token holders are able to show to their friends every time they meet. And they are showing it, because they are proud of the solution, since it works well.
And last but not least is the sufficient penetration of the idea into the minds of key opinion leaders. I’m not talking about paid garbage. I’m talking about @hosseeb, @naval, @balajis, etc. People whose tweets and opinions are not for sale.
So, yeah, 4 main things: - Short pitch - Tech legitimacy - Simple UX - Real KOLs are talking about your project
Congrats to ZEC on combining these pieces together!
One more thing: I didn’t quite figure out a short pitch for NEAR just yet. But I think everyone sees the tech being legit and real KOLs already talking about the project. Let’s see where this will lead us :)
