Everyone in crypto has gotten so used to this market moving in full correlation over the past decade.
There used to be only two scenarios:
Every single crypto asset going down together (bear market)
Every single crypto asset going up together (bull market)
But that’s not how mature markets work. As crypto matures, it’s becoming just another market, where assets start to decouple and move more independently.
We’re seeing this unfold right before our eyes right now.
Bitcoin and the majors are breaking all-time highs or getting close, some solid assets like $HYPE and $ZEC are outperforming the entire market, while 99% of altcoins are bleeding out like it’s the worst bear market ever.
This market has changed. The good news is there’s still a ton of money to be made. Bad news is simply that it’s gotten a lot tougher.
